I heard this story on the drive home from work last night. Can you imagine the time and effort, not to mention money, that went in to this? Can you imagine some of the great, hard-to-find tunes he must have. I’m proud of my vinyl collection from my djing days, but I can’t hold a candle to what this guy is offering.

I imagine it would be hard to let go of a collection like that. I mean, I haven’t been behind a set of turntables in years, but I’m still hanging on to my records with the notion somewhere in the back of my head that I might do it in the future.
I’m also surprised that no museums were interested in the collection. This is a massive amount of recorded music history.
